Ilyich-Stal will hold a meeting of shareholders

Ilyich-Stal CJSC, the main shareholder of the Mariupol Metallurgical Plant (MMK) Ilyich, intends to hold a meeting of shareholders on July 1 after the disruption of its holding on March 31 of the current year due to a court prohibition to issue a register of shareholders and certificates of shareholders of the MMC named after Ilyich and CJSC Ilyich-Stal, reports “Interfax-Ukraine”.

According to the meeting published on Friday, it is planned to consider, in particular, the issues of distribution of profit, re -election of governing and regulatory authorities.

As reported, the household of the Donetsk region banned the registrar issuing a register of shareholders and certificates of shareholders of the MMK named after Ilyich and Ilyich-Stal, thereby blocked, thereby holding general meetings of shareholders of both companies appointed on March 31 of the current year.

The court adopted such a ruling on March 18 of this year to ensure the claim of eight former shareholders of the MMK named after Ilyich, accusing a number of officials of pressure on shareholders-philosophers or their deception with the aim of redeeming shares of the enterprise from 1997 to 2004.

At the same time, the claims were filed against OJSC “MMK named after Ilyich”, Ilyich-Stal CJSC, registrar LLC “Ukrainian Registration Company” (Kyiv) and Minuz Enterprises limited (Cyprus), which was currently buying up the shares of the enterprise and is currently a shareholder of the missile defense system.

The plaintiffs ask the court to recognize the contracts of the sale of shares invalid, as well as to compensate them for moral damage.

The court accepted the claims for consideration, united them and initiated proceedings in this case.

At the same time, the court adopted the ruling in ensuring the lawsuit that introduced a number of prohibitions, in particular, to alienate shares of the ILICH MMK, transferring them to third parties, to change the registrar, conducting additional commissions, denomination of shares, making changes to the register, issuing certificates of registry, etc., thereby making it impossible to conduct meetings of shareholders.

MMK named after Ilyich is among the three largest metallurgical plants in Ukraine. On the agenda, in addition to the points traditional for the annual meeting, the question of the elimination of the separate structural units of the company and the re -election of the leadership is also included.

Ilyich-Stal CJSC owns 90.41% of the shares of OJSC MMK named after Ilyich. On the agenda of the meeting of shareholders of the CJSC, in particular, the issues of distribution of profit over the past year and the re -election of the Supervisory Board, the Board and the Revolutionary Commission are included.
