The Ilyich name plant will clean the discarded water almost to drinking

The ambitious project to bring the quality of the water in the Ilyich metallurgical plant in the Kalchik River to the norms of the environmental legislation of Ukraine began to be realized by the Metinvest group.

A tender for the development of a technical and economic substantiation of new treatment facilities at industrial issues No. 1 and No. 2 of engineering networks in the Kalchik River was won by Siemens Ukraine, a subsidiary of the Siemens concern. It is her project that was recognized as the most realistic and beneficial in terms of environmental friendliness and non -waste production.

As Ilyich, Deputy Chief Engineer of the Environmental Environmental Protection and Environmental Protection, told Ilich.in.ua, “the project implies two fundamental points at once - firstly, its implementation will ensure the purification of industrial drains to the Kalchik River in accordance with the norms of environmental legislation, and even lower than the maximum permissible level in Ukraine. And secondly, the plant will be able to significantly reduce the energy consumption, since at the production of №2 to the water supply system, 800 cubic meters of purified water will be returned. ”

The chief engineer of the Ilyich Communist Party Sergei Matvienkov emphasized - “We have an ambitious task - to make the discharge water cleaner than the fact that the plant takes from the river. Further strengthening of the partnership of the group Metinvest and Siemens Ukraine, I am sure, will allow us to successfully solve this and other tasks to reduce the technogenic load on the environment. ”

According to the press center of the plant, the amount of investments aimed at the project proposed by the specialists of Siemens Ukraine amounted to 300 thousand US dollars.
