MARUPOLEMENTS MARUPOLE take measures to reduce emissions on such days

From May 21 to 23, Mariupol fell under the influence of adverse meteorological conditions.
On such days, the city provides for special measures to reduce the negative impact on the environment. They are carried out in accordance with the order of the head of the city of Mariupol “On the development of additional events and the work of industrial enterprises at NMU”.

At the Ilyich Plant, the Metinvest group was prohibited by purging and cleaning equipment, production processes fully consistent with the technological regulations. A special schedule for repair work of the main units was introduced. The domain furnace No. 2, air heaters No. 1 and No. 15 of the domain workshop were stopped at overhaul, and maintenance was carried out at the agglomeration factory.

At the Azovstal metallurgical plant, the Metinvest groups also performed scheduled repair work in the converter shop, in the boiler room, in the domain workshop. In addition, the graphs of the issuance and loading of the furnaces in the coke workshop were changed.

Thanks to the measures undertaken, the reduction in the emission of pollutants at the Ilyich name was 153.8 tons, and 118.3 tons at the Azovstal plant. And this is only in three days.
