The Russians are coming

Having rigidly regulating the import of Ukrainian rental into their market, our Russian friends are no longer at all in the Ukrainian market. Over the 1st quarter of 2010, the rental import import of Russia to Ukraine increased more than three times and reached 407 thousand tons. It was almost 80% of all imports to the country, and approximately 31% of domestic consumption, the volume of which in January-March of this year amounted to almost 1.3 million tons.

Simply put, the share of Russian rental in the Ukrainian market is much higher than Ukrainian in the Russian Federation (about 20%).

And so far, despite all the statements of Ukrainian metallurgists about the need to introduce holding measures against imports, this has not been done.

The main suppliers of the pipe workpiece according to the results of the 4th months of 2010 were the Oskol electrometallurgical plant and the Belarusian metallurgical plant, the share of which was 64.4% and 25.7%, respectively. The main recipients of the imported workpiece are the Interpipes group plants (84.9% in the supply structure).

The main suppliers of the hot -rolled sheet according to the results of the 4th months of 2010 were Russian factories - Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant and Severstal, whose share in deliveries was 83.2% and 9.1%, respectively. The recipients of the imported sheet are the “Lugansk Pipe Plant” (44.7%), the interpipes (22.5%) pipe plants, Stakhanovsky (14.6%) and Kryukovsky (7.2%) cars.
