The trade unions of the European metallurgists have united with other trade unions in Industrial

Professional associations of employees of the metallurgical industry of the European Union on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, united with trade union organizations of other industrial industries in the Industrial. The association was attended by the leading trade union organizations of Europe, such as European MetalWorkers ’Federal (EMF), Chemical & Energy Workers’ Federal (Emcef) and The European Trade Union Federal Clothing & Leather (ETUF: TCL). Metallurgists, textilers, energy and chemists united into the largest union in the EU in order to influence the domestic political situation in Europe.

According to the General Secretary of the New Association Industrial, Mr. ulrich Eckelmann, Europe needs sustainable industrial growth, new workplaces, and increased measures to ensure safe production. The purpose of the trade union is to actively protect the rights of workers and citizens, strengthen the solidarity of workers and fair distribution of income and wealth in Europe.

The Constituent Congress of Industrial has adopted a political resolution, which serves as a fundamental document in the work of the trade union on key political moments.


"Industrial will use its influence not only as the largest EU trade union, but also as the most decisive, powerful, purposeful organization in the European political arena in order to best represent the interests of workers in Europe," said Michael Vassiliadis, president of Industrial.
