Promproduction of Ukraine slows down a decline in metallurgy

According to the State Statistics Service, industry in Ukraine in May increased by 1.0% due to a reduction in the volume of the export industry - metallurgy.

The participants in the monthly survey Reuters predicted the growth of industrial production by only 0.2-0.5%. The data for the previous month turned out to be much better predicted.

The State Statistics Service announced the data for January-May of this year, according to which the industrial production of Ukraine increased by 0.7%. The structure of industry in Ukraine was formed back in the USSR and focused on the export of ferrous metals and steel. This trend has preserved until today, but since the end of 2011, a monthly reduction in metallurgy has been recorded.

The State Statistics Service in May of this year recorded a reduction in the volume of products in metallurgy by 1.1%, and this figure continues to grow.

The Government of Ukraine predicts a slowdown in the growth rate of industrial production up to 4.5% for this year. The reason for such a decline is the deterioration of the external market conjunction. In the participants of the Reuters survey, a different picture. They predict an increase of at least 2.5%.

In order to prevent a decline in demand for metallurgy in the country's domestic market, the government began a program for supporting state construction of housing. According to statistics, in recent months the construction industry has gone uphill and an average of 0.3% higher than in the previous year.

The chemical industry remains the leader in sales volumes in the country's domestic market - 12.6%, due to the demand for chemicals in the summer, and the market of cosmetic and perfumes of Ukraine continues to grow and, for the most part clinique Happy .
