Steel production on Tribarin decreased by 12.2%

According to the monthly report of the World Steel Association International Analytical Organization, Ukraine last month of this year increased the productive volume of steel to 3.2% (2.6 million tons). Compared to 2011 (3.068 million tons), the indicator fell sharply by 15.3%. In just six months. Ukraine reduced the productive volume of steel by 12.2% (13.102 million tons).

The total production of steel for 62 countries (according to the results of May 2012) amounted to approximately 130.6 million tons.

Over the reporting month, the productive volume at the world level increased by 2.2 million tons (about 1.7%). Compared to last year, world production has grown to 0.7% (129.6 million tons).

During the period of January -May 2012, 635.6 million tons of steel were produced in the world (last year - 585.7 million tons).

Nevertheless, since the beginning of 2012, the productive volume of steel in the world has grown by 0.8%. North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East contributed to the growth of production, and in the countries of the EU, the CIS, Oceania and South America, according to some reports, the production is reduced.

According to WorldSteel statistics, the maximum production of steel in the world was recorded in March 2012 (132.2 million tons).

It is important to note that according to the State Statistics Service, the performance of steel without semi -finished products, which are obtained by continuous casting, in our country over the past six months has decreased by 2.1%.

Steel is the main export product in Ukraine and one of the most popular and expensive.

According to the State Statistics Service, last year, ferrous exports reached 26.4% ($ 18.4 billion - 27% of the total exports in the country).
