MMK named after Ilyich put into operation a new turbocharger in the domain workshop

On June 21, 2012, a solemn start into operation of a completely new, modern turbocharger machine was held at the TPP-1 of the Ilyich Domestan workshop. The general contractor for the construction of the machine was the enterprise "Trade House of Russia - Ukraine".

At the ceremony, their congratulations to the employees of the UKSU Combine and the energy sector of the TPP-1 was expressed by the General Director of the Ilyich Boyko MMK Vladimir Semenovich and the chief engineer of the plant Matvienkov Sergey Anatolyevich.

“The commissioning of a new turbocharger is only the beginning of a large path,” Vladimir Boyko emphasized, “only the first stage in the implementation of a comprehensive technical re -equipment program of the plant until 2020. From personally and from the group Metinvest, first of all, I thank everyone who took part in construction. You know that the object has passed the difficult stages of birth. Interested back in 2006, in the fall of 2008, due to the crisis, he was postponed indefinitely, but the merger with the Metinvest group in 2010 allowed us to successfully complete the construction. For the plant, the new TVD has a tremendous value, as it will allow domainers to increase the performance of the third blast furnace by 7% and reduce the specific consumption of coke per ton of cast iron. That is, to give an additional domain workshop more than four thousand cubic meters of blowing, on the one hand, and the ability to use a more flexible system of repairs - on the other. Therefore, already in the near future, the fifth and sixth turbocharger machines are provided in the TPP-1. Today's event creates real prerequisites for the development of the domain workshop of the plant. This is the overhaul of the domain furnace No. 2, and the further reconstruction of the domain workshop, taking into account the modernization of the first domain furnace. ”

“The new turbop -boat machine is an unconditional heavyweight in the technological equipment of the TPP -1,” said Sergey Matvienkov. “A turbocharger with a steam turbine with a capacity of 19 megawatts and a compressor, with a capacity of four thousand cubic meters of blowing per minute, from now on we can significantly improve the quality of the soul for the domain workshop and help increase the performance and stability of the work of domain furnaces.”



To prevent exceeding the maximum permissible concentrations of toxic gases (for example, such as domain gas) at enterprises use explosion -proof sensors Polytron 2xp . These modern gas analyzers are able to work in the most difficult and adverse conditions. The control and calibration of the sensor is carried out using the infrared remote control.
