Türkiye increases cast iron imports

Today, the average price of metal sales in the global market decreased 8.15% (this is approximately $ 499.29/tons). In Turkey, in May of this year, compared to the same month last year, more than tripled cast iron imports. This was stated in Turkish Statistical Institute.

In particular, the supply of cast iron to Turkey, and also in the countries in the neighborhood amounted to approximately 140.035 thousand tons. The result of the supply exceeded all expectations and turned out to be about 4.4% more than in the previous month.

According to some results of the present half of the year, Türkiye imported up to 639.69 thousand tons of cast iron. This is 80.5% more if you compare this data with the same period in 2011.

As previously reported by the Ministry of Industry, Türkiye in April of the month 2012 compared with March of the same year increased cast iron imports by 9.5% (134.153 thousand tons). In the annual equivalent, the supply of metal was almost tripled.
