Azovstal successfully passed the certification of the company's management of the enterprise standard OHSAS 18001: 2007

According to the press center of the enterprise MK Azovstal, the metallurgical plant part of the Metinvest group, the third supervisory audit of the functioning of the management system in the field of labor protection and professional health for compliance with the requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001: 2007 was held.

“The labor management system is an integral part of the general management system and creates the basis for the implementation of the necessary measures aimed at improving the efficiency and safety of production,” said Enver Tskitishvili, General Director of Azovstal MK PJSC. “Our main task in the aspect of labor protection and industrial safety is the management of existing risks and the creation of safe working conditions at workplaces.”

The audit was conducted by the company "Bureau Veritas Sertificaisch Ukraine." During the audit, examinations of the documents of the Azovstal labor protection enterprise were conducted, the organization of work in structural units was checked and the system’s functioning was analyzed. As a result, the auditors confirmed its compliance with the requirements of the international standard OHSAS 18001: 2007.

According to the Azovstal press center, the entire system of industrial safety and labor protection control provides for the involvement of all employees of the plant to work to reduce production risks. The labor protection system for Azovstal includes the organization of preventive work to prevent industrial injuries, occupational diseases, as well as practical measures to improve working conditions.
