BMZ froze a large project

Anatoly Savenok, the general director of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant, announced the decision to suspend the construction of a sheet rental production complex.

Now the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant has focused on the construction of a new varietal camp. The concentrates attention on increasing the volume of steel production.

As it became known, the construction project project predicted to an output of about 600 thousand tons of hot -rolled sheet for a year. Investments are estimated at 650-700 million dollars.

As previously reported, the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant in October of this year begins a huge modernization of the steelpiece No. 1. It is expected that, as part of the repair, introducing the intensification technology of steel smelting, improved hydraulic systems of the furnace while replacing consoles and racks, as well as introduce special ROS systems.

The Belarusian Metallurgical Plant is one of the largest metallurgical enterprises in Belarus. The plant specializes in the production of various types of metal products: shaped, reinforcing and varietal rental, cast workpiece, metal cord, different types of wire. The share of exports in the total sales of the concern is 85%. 70% of exports fall into countries outside the CIS.
