Based on the results of the customs service reports for the first half of 2012, the exports of black rental and pipes from Ukraine decreased by 11.4% compared to last year and amounted to 1.64 million tons. At the same time, these indicators exceeded the levels of 2009 and 2010.
The main component of imports is shaped and varietal metal rolling (42%), in which steel reinforcement and katanka prevails (about 40%). If we compare the supply of shaped and varietal metal rolling in 2011, then its decrease is visible by 2.2%. But the import of reinforcement on the contrary increased by about 20%.
A similar situation has developed for the import of flat steel metal rolling, the share of which is 35%, and the share of galvanized steel is 15%. The supply of steel rental as a whole decreased by 9.7%, however, the supply of galvanized steel has practically doubled and reached an unprecedented level.
