Launch in Magnitogorsk a new metal rolling shop

In Magnitogorsk, a new complex was launched for the production of metal rolling. The project started in 2007, and already at the end of this year, the company plans to bring this workshop to all its capacity. According to estimates, the new complex of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant is able to produce about 2 million tons of high -quality metal distribution per year. At the launch ceremony, President Vladimir Putin with the governor of the Chelyabinsk region Mikhail Yurevich attended the new workshop.

At OJSC MMK, Vladimir Putin was able to get acquainted with all stages of production in the new workshop. Its launch, according to the president, will allow the city to create about 1300 new jobs. Governor Mikhail Yurevich noted the active modernization of production in the Chelyabinsk region, setting as an example the railway mill of the Chelyabinsk Metallurgical Plant.

The task of the new complex is the production of high -quality galvanized and cold -legged rental for cars. The cost of the entire project is 44.5 billion rubles, including 490 million euros - the cost of contract equipment. The new workshop of the Ural metallurgists will be able to produce metal cold -legged sheets with rolls weighing up to 43.5 tons, their strip can have a thickness of 0.28 - 3.0 mm with a width of 850 - 1880 mm.
