On July 30, 2012, a solemn ceremony of laying the submarine - the atomic underwater cruiser Prince Vladimir, took place on Sevmash (OJSC "on Sevmash"). Sheet steel for the construction of the ship is supplied by the Cherepovets metallurgical plant - Severstal.
To date, to ensure the construction of the atomic submarine of project 955a (“Borey-A”) Severstal shipped Sevmash about five thousand tons of high-quality shipyard of increased strength of strength.
Especially for this program, a new method of production was developed at Severstal, which allows to achieve increased, fabricity of sheet steel, which is fundamentally important for shipbuilders, determining the quality of welding of the elements of the ship.
