AvtoVAZ OJSC plans to start selling the first domestic with an automatic transmission (automatic transmission)

In the third quarter of 2012, AvtoVAZ plans to sell Lada Granta cars with an automatic transmission (automatic transmission) at a price of 373 thousand rubles. Lada Granta will be the cheapest automatic transmission in Russia. The serial assembly of this model was launched in July this year.

Now the assembly of automatic transmission is carried out in Japan by Jatco, but plans for assembling an automatic gearbox in Russia are being developed. The maintenance and repair of the automatic transmission will be made at the first time at the Moscow Plant "Autoframos".

AvtoVAZ plans to implement 10 thousand Lada Granta in 2012 with an automatic gearbox, and in 2013 about 70 thousand Granta and restyled Lada Kalina with a similar gearbox.
