Metinvest acquired retail metal in Belgorod, in the Russian Federation

Belgorodmetallosnab CJSC sold 85.21% of its shares of Metinvest Eurasia, which is a monopoly seller of the Ukrainian metal distribution of the Ilyich MMK and Azovstal, which are part of the Metinvest group.

Today, Metinvest Eurasia has already possesses more than thirty retail sites in the Central, South, North Caucasus, North-West and Volga federal districts of the Russian Federation. As part of the general strategy, a metal depot was acquired in the city of Belgorod.

The base "Belgorodmetallosnab" was created during the existence of the USSR State University and is able to process up to 30 thousand tons of metal rolling per month. Built in 1954, it includes 7.5 hectares of land, more than 30 thousand square meters of storage facilities with, capable of mating more than 50 thousand tons of metal, crane farm and customs terminal with their own railway line and diesel locomotives.
