Leading steel producers in September 2016

According to the latest statistics released by the World Steel Association, the global crude steel output of the 66 countries reporting to the Association totaled 132.909 million tonnes in September this year. Monthly output increased 2% over the same month last year. These 66 countries produced about 99% of the world's total crude steel in 2015.

The ten largest steel-producing countries in the world during September 2016, in thousands of tons, included:
