According to the Marketing Center of the Ukrainian Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) in the first half of 2012, the volume of imports reached 840 thousand tons. and grew by 18%. Recall that the UMMC is the leader in the sales of metal rolling and pipes in Ukraine. Its arsenal has 30 metal supermarkets.
In the first half of the current year, 33% amounted to hot -rolled steel in the domestic market for the metal rolling market, 11% - reinforcement, 10% - a pipe blank, 6% - a katanka, 5% - a circle and cold -rolled steel, 30% - other types of metal rolling. In general, the domestic market for the consumption of metal rolling in Ukraine for the reporting period has grown by 1%compared to last year.
In addition, the deliveries of galvanized steel increased by 37.2%, reinforcement - by 15.8%, the channel - by 15.2%, the corner - by 6.6%, and the double -breed beam - by 3.9%.
The UMMC noted that 33.6% of the metal rolling from the total were purchased metal trade enterprises, 22.6% - pipe plants, 19.1% - machine -building plants. According to preliminary data in 2012, an increase in the secondary market for metal rolling is possible.
