Attempts by European steel manufacturers to raise prices have not yet been crowned with success

British analysts from Meps report unsuccessful attempts by European manufacturers to increase their prices for metal rolling. Specialists of the analytical agency offer the Mestobile Plants in Europe to reduce the production of steel and metal products to stimulate demand. An insufficient offer, according to MPS analysts, will increase metal prices after summer holidays.

Manufacturers of steel rental, listening to such hints, risk losing an already insignificant profit in the last quarter of 2012. As experts themselves recognize the same agencies - the demand provoked by the deficit will be short and weak, the growth of procurement of metal rolling will not cover losses from folding production and, as a result, European factories will suffer even greater losses.

The path situation in the European market should be resolved at the end of this - beginning of next year. Traiders will simply be forced to replenish inventories in the eve of the seasonal increase in demand in the spring of 2013. Meps states that the real increase in metal products in the European Union will take place no earlier than the spring of next year. A milder credit policy and increased trust among market participants could provide an even more noticeable increase in prices in 2013. It will do higher than in 2012
