Ukraine does not want to buy Russian gas

Russia believes that Ukrainian gas reserves are too small to guarantee the transit of raw materials to the EU in the event of an increase in demand for it. And he wants to sell gas to Ukraine "at a good price," nevertheless, Kiev's reaction to the Russian proposals is negative.

Why is this happening? Ukraine will still buy gas, usually Russian, but from European intermediaries. Kiev explained that they offer lower prices for raw materials. According to Russian data, their prices are lower, but Kiev does not buy gas from Russia for unknown reasons. However, according to unofficial information, we are talking about a very large distrust of the Ukrainian leadership in its Russian partners.

Please note that the Ukrainian gas company Naftogaz and Gazprom of Russia continue their legal battles. Ukrainians want compensation for inflated gas prices. The Russians believe that Kiev has put them at a loss as a result of the breakdown of the gas agreement. Mutual claims amount to tens of billions of dollars.

Now the security of supplies to the EU can be caused by the fact that Kiev does not want to buy gas from Russia. The problem can be solved if one of the parties makes concessions. At the moment, however, there is no sign of the will on either side.
