Data released by the Statistical Commission of Kazakhstan shows that crude steel production in 2016 increased by 9.2% compared to the same period in 2015. Refined copper production also rose 3.1%, while refined zinc production rose 0.5%.
Kazakhstan produced 371,700 tons of steel in December 2016, increasing output by 1.22% compared to last November. In 2016, the volume of Kazakh steel production amounted to 4.2608 million tons.
