China bets on gas

Beijing wants to strengthen the role of gas in the country's energy balance. In the current five-year period (2016-2020), the share of gas in China's energy balance is expected to rise from 6.1 percent in 2016 to 10 percent at the end of the decade.

How can Beijing achieve this?
