Interpiped managed to reduce import duties on pipes in the European Union

According to the Bloomberg agency, the Interpipe group provided the opportunity to sell their products in the European Union on more favorable terms. Today, the hollow was in fifth place at the rates of imported duties on steel pipes.

The EU reduced import duties from 17.7% to 13.8% for two interpipe plants - Interpipe Niko Tyub and Interpipe of the Nizhnedneprovsk pipe factory. Today, the imported fee is used by the EU to protect against dumping imports from Ukraine and Russia.

Bloomberg reports that reducing duties on Ukrainian steel pipes became possible as a result of organizational changes in the structure of the interpip group, and specifically due to the merger of two production companies and the rationalization of trade operations.


Recall that for proper flexion of the pipes, pipe bends with a hydraulic drive is used.



Changes in bets are long -term in nature, it is said in the decision of the 27 EU countries adopted in Brussels on August 28 and published today in the official journal. The decision should enter into force tomorrow, September 7, 2012.

In parallel with the decision to reduce the duties for the interpip, the EU announced the extension of 47.4% bets on the import of steel components from China by five years.
