Since August this year, miners of platinum mines of South Africa have been bastling. The first to announce the strike by workers on a platinum mine owned by the British company Lonmin. There were no casualties. As a result of a clash with the police, 44 miners were killed and about 100 people received gunshot injuries.
Soon, work on the platinum mine of Anglo American Platinum was stopped. More than 1000 miners joined the strike movement. Representatives of the company are convinced that miners have no objective reasons for discontent. And the strike was organized by instigators who are not working in the mine.
However, the number of striking mines is growing. The striker was announced by the miners of the subsidiary of Anglo American. Now the working companies of Gold Fields in South Africa and miners working on Bolivia mines joined the movement.
