According to statistics, in Azerbaijan over the past eight months of 2012, the production of products of the metallurgical industry increased by 78% in annual calculus.
During the reporting period, the publication of cast iron increased by more than 3 times, compared with the corresponding period of the vulgar year and reached 680 thousand tons. The production of steel pipes amounted to 42.5 thousand tons, and steel - 154 thousand tons.
However, the export of semi -finished products for the period from January to August 2012 decreased by 36% in relation to the results of 2011 and amounted to 85.7 thousand tons, which reached 45 miln. dollarov in monetary terms. A similar situation is observed with regard to pipes export. Foreign pipes deliveries decreased by 51% compared to the results of last year and reached 28 thousand tons worth about $ 27 million.
