Metinvest and Kryvyi Rih city authorities approve Social Partnership Program for 2017

The company's investments will amount to UAH 60 million - one and a half times more than last year.

The corresponding document was signed on April 20 by the mayor of Krivoy Rog Yuri Vilkul, general director of Metinvest Yuri Ryzhenkov and the heads of the Krivoy Rog mining and processing plants: Inguletsky, North, Central and South. Enterprises will allocate funds for solving important social problems and improving the quality of life of Kryvyi Rih residents.

Metinvest's social partnership program has been operating in Kryvyi Rih since 2011. During this time, UAH 215 million was allocated to develop infrastructure, repair central roads and house facades, support health care, modernize schools and kindergartens, reconstruct parks and squares, and improve recreation and sports facilities.

Among the key projects of the last year are the overhaul of the surgical department of the hospital No. 17 and the center of children's creativity "Mriya", the reconstruction of the park on the street. Ivan Mazepa and the Ternovskaya park, repairs of pedestrian bridges, renovation of the coatings of the central squares of microdistricts and intra-block roads, assistance to schools and cultural and sports institutions.

In order to improve interaction with active citizens, in the fall of 2016 in Kryvyi Rih, the public union "Green Center Metinvest" was launched. In a short time, the center managed to implement several important initiatives for residents. Thus, within the framework of the program for the improvement of the local area "One hundred courtyards", 24 projects were supported for the amount of UAH 3 million. Assistance was provided to local committees in pruning and rejuvenating more than 400 trees.

The plans for 2017 include the restoration of intra-neighborhood roads and driveways, the arrangement of adjacent territories, support of public initiatives within the framework of the "City - with our hands" competition and the "One hundred courtyards" program, renovation of building facades, installation of sports and children's playgrounds, modernization of medical and educational institutions ...
