Repair work at the hydraulic structures of the Seversky Donetsk -Donetsk channel began in connection with the emergence of emergency sections of the canal requiring immediate elimination of malfunctions.
The total length of the channel on which the overhaul will be made is more than two kilometers.
On Monday, the chairman of the Donetsk regional state administration Andrei Shishatsky visited the facility.
According to the governor’s assessment, the repair of hydraulic structures of the canal has no analogues in the world, since they are carried out without pumping or overlapping water, which allowed not to interrupt the operation of the channel.
Andrei Shishatsky emphasized that the main goal of the overhaul and reconstruction of the hydraulic structures of the region should be the transition from the elimination of accidents to their warning.
The next step provides for the reconstruction of the infrastructure of the Makeevsky filter station.
