On October 8, 2012, the Serbia government officially announced the receipt of applications for participation in tenders to acquire the largest commander of the country of Zhelezara Samederevo. According to the Serbian Ministry of Finance and Economics, the deadline for submitting applications for participation in the announced competition expires on October 26, 2012.
During this year, Serbia had already made an unsuccessful attempt to sell this plant. The terms limiting the acceptance of applications to the previous competition were postponed twice, but there were no people who wanted to participate in the last tender.
All companies are invited to new auction without any restrictions, with the exception of the requirement to provide a minimum investment program for Zhelezar Smederevo for four years in the amount of at least $ 50 million.
As previously stated by the Serbian leadership, negotiations with a large Russian company whose company was proposed to purchase a plant for one dollar, came to a dead end and the name of the metallurgical company remained unknown.
At past, never -up -out auction, three companies showed interest in the Serbian missile station: United Pilsen S.A. From Luxembourg, Russian businessman Igor Shamis, Ukrainian group Donetskstal and the Russian Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC).
