The ongoing drop in demand for steel in Europe today affected the largest metallurgical corporation in the world of Arcelormittal. The ArcelorMittal Galati plant located in the Romanian town of Galati stopped production at the rental camp No. 1 for an indefinite period.
“Following the rest of the metallurgical enterprises located in the European Union, the Arcelormittal Corporation has currently encountered a significant reduction in orders, which is a consequence of the ongoing economic recession in Europe, which exacerbates steel overproduction. The current situation is especially negatively reflected in the sheet rolling segment with a thickness of more than 2 mm. In accordance with the situation, our company is now looking for ways to adapt to crisis manifestations, ”the ArcelorMittal Galati press center reports.
