In Dnepropetrovsk, a new plant for the recovery of lead was opened. The essence of the process is to extract lead from old batteries in order to use in new batteries. The performance of the enterprise will be 22 thousand tons of lead annually.
The uniqueness of the project is that the old automobile batteries are not thrown out, but are processed without polluting the environment. The water used in the process works on the revolutionary mode and is assembled in RTS RGS 5 . In addition to lead, crystalline sodium sulfate, granular polypropylene, will be removed. These substances are used in the glass industry.
According to preliminary data, about 6 million batteries are now ready to process. The capabilities of the recovery plant amount to 3.5 million batteries used a year. Investment investments in the project amounted to about 775 million hryvnias.
