Rinat Akhmetov completely bought the private railway operator LemTrans

The company "Capital Management" (SCM) since today is the sole owner of a 100% shares of the largest private railway operator of Ukraine LLC "LemTrans". The company "LemTrans" carries out internal and international cargo transportation by rail.

“The acquisition and integration of the company into the SKM group is a strategically important step. LemTrans will stably provide a group as the largest consignor with a rolling stock. At the same time, we see LemTrans both an independent market business working with Ukrainian and foreign cargo owners,” said Nicholas Nesterenko, Director of Business Business, SKM.

LemTrans own its own park has more than 12 thousand wagons and gondola cars, which makes it the largest Ukrainian private company providing railway transportation services. The LemTrans market share in the cargo transportation segment of Ukraine is 8.5%, the number of gondola cars from the total number of registered MPS is 14.5%. In 2011, the company transported more than 40 million tons of cargo, mainly metal rolling.

The SKM group intends to focus on an increase in the share of transportation by rail with its own wagons and gondola cars. In accordance with these attitudes, the following LemTrans investments will be aimed at updating and further increase in their own park of railway wagons and gondola cars. With joining the assets of the SKM group, financing of Lemtrans projects will reach a new level. Nikolai Nesterenko said that now the company will have full support from the management of the company Capital management systems.
