The pace of development of the metallurgical industry of Iran continues to grow

Currently, the main share of Iranian imports is steel products. In the first half of 2012, only steel ingots of about 1.5 million tons were imported into the country, and even more products.

Along with this, the production of their own products of the steel industry over this period of time increased by 6%. Although, the chairman of the board of directors of the organization of development and modernization of the mining industry, Ferdeyudun Ahmadi, noted that in the near future the import of steel ingots and products made of steel will remain at the same level.
