Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant increased production volumes by 10%

Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant OJSC and its subsidiaries in January - September 2012 produced 10 million 68 thousand tons of steel and 9 million 154 thousand tons of metal rolling, which is 10% higher than the same period last year.

At the same time, an increase in production volumes was reached on the daughter of MMK - MMK Metiz +5% by 2011 (380 thousand tons). And MMK Metalurji (Turkish company MMK) increased production by 2.7 times to 748 thousand tons in 2012 against 272 thousand tons in 2011.

The only section of the magnitude production at which the drop in production volumes was recorded was 5000, where it amounted to more than 8% for the third quarter of 2012. The fall of volumes on the camp of 5000 in the company is considered a temporary, due to a decrease in the volume of orders from tubular companies in connection with the transfer of the terms for the implementation of projects of oil and gas companies for a later period.

For the fourth quarter of this, the managers of the Magnitogorsk Metallurgical Plant predict a decrease in the volume of sales of commodity metal, due to weak internal demand for steel products.
