Iranian steel production up 7.6% YTD

Iran's crude steel production in January and February was 4.24 million tonnes, up 7.6% from 3.94 million tonnes in the same period in 2018, the Iranian Organization for the Development and Reconstruction of Mining and Mining ( IMIDRO) with reference to data published by the World Organization. Steel Association (WSA).

Global steelmakers in 64 countries produced 287.6 million tonnes of products during the specified time, up 3.7 percent from 277.1 million tonnes in the same months in the previous year.

The World Steel Association (worldsteel) is a non-profit organization headquartered in Brussels, Belgium.

It is one of the largest and fastest growing industry associations in the world, with representatives from all major steel producing countries. The association represents steel producers, national and regional steel industry associations and research institutes. Participants represent about 85% of the world's steel production.
