The consumption of metal rolling in the domestic market of Ukraine is growing

For 5 months of 2010, the consumption of metal rolling in Ukraine increased by 38.4%, to 2.41 million tons, compared to the same period of 2009.

In May 2010, the capacity of the Ukrainian market for the metal rolling increased by 3.8% compared to April 2010 and 45.1% compared to May 2009

The share of rental imports following the results of January-May 2010 amounted to 20.4% compared with 12.1% for the same period in 2009.

There is a significant increase in the volume of supplies of the corner - by 55.6% by the results of 5 months. 2010 or by 110.8% following the results of May 2010 compared to the same period last year. The supply of reinforcement, the decrease of which amounted to 2% for 4 months. 2010, according to the results of 5 months increased by 3.8%.

The proportion of other products still increases in the structure of the consumption of metal rolling (from 24.5% to 37.1%), due to the growth of the pipe blank by 6.4 percentage points, the square workpiece-by 1.4 percentage points, the circle-by 1.3 pp, galvanized sheet rolling-by 0.5 pp. and others.

At the same time, during the analyzed period, a significant decrease in the share of hot -rolled sheet is observed - by 7.4 percentage points and reinforcement - by 2.8 percentage points.

In the context of industry consumption, according to the results of 5 months. 2010, 27% of the metal rolling from all supply volumes were delivered to the metal trade companies, 24.8% to the pipe plants. In third place remains the machine -building industry - 17.2%.
