Chung Hung raises prices for galvanized products for October

Chung Hung Steel Corporation (CHSC), a Taiwanese hot-rolled and cold-rolled coil and steel pipe company, has announced its price lists for October. Among them, the price of hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel remained the same, while the price of galvanized steel increased by NT$800/ton.

Recently, demand for raw materials for hot dip galvanized steel (HGI) has been higher than for other flat steel; so the raw material suppliers raised their prices.

The market deal was unpopular from June to August, further reducing downstream buyers' inventories. As a result, they replenished their stocks in September. Many structural projects have also been launched, so the demand for galvanized products has increased.
