The utilization of base metal production facilities in Turkey decreased in March 2026 compared to February

In March of this year, the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish base metal manufacturing industry was 74.8 percent, compared with 75.5 percent recorded in the previous month, while the capacity utilization rate in the Turkish base metal manufacturing industry was 73.5 percent in March 2025, according to preliminary data released by the Central Bank of Turkey.

Meanwhile, in this month, the capacity utilization rate in the production of metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, was 73.5 percent, down from 73.6 percent recorded in February and up from 70.5 percent in March 2025.

The capacity utilization rate in Turkey's general manufacturing industry, on the other hand, was 73.3 percent in March this year, down from 73.5 percent recorded in the previous month and 74.4 percent in the same month in 2025.
