S. Department of Commerce, exports of hot-dip galvanized sheets and strips (HDG) to the United States totaled 111,850 tons in March this year, up 6.5 percent month-on-month and down 5.8 percent year-on-year. In value terms, HDG exports totaled $165.66 million in March 2026, compared with $152.1 million in the previous month and $170.46 million in the same month in 2025.
The United States shipped the most HDG to Mexico in March, with 71,016 tons, compared with 67,170 tons in February and 66,475 tons in March last year. Mexico is followed by Canada with 40,313 tons. There were no other important HDG exports from the USA (1,000 tons or more) in March
