Hoa Phat develops high-strength S700MC steel for automotive and heavy equipment

Hoa Phat разрабатывает высокопрочную сталь S700MC для автомобильного и тяжелого оборудования
The Vietnamese steel company Hoa Phat has announced the successful production of high-strength hot-rolled steel sheet S700MC, designed for load-bearing structures in vehicles and heavy industrial equipment.

According to the statement, the development marks a further expansion of the portfolio of high-value-added steel products and supports demand from manufacturing sectors requiring high-strength structural materials.

Designed for automotive and industrial applications

Hoa Fat stated that S700MC steel is widely used in the production of structural components for trucks, trailers, special vehicles and heavy industrial equipment. The steel grade provides high strength while maintaining good formability and weldability, which allows manufacturers to reduce the weight of components without compromising structural performance.

The company indicated that the material is suitable for applications where weight reduction and increased load capacity are important requirements.

The S700MC steel was produced at the Hoa Phat Dung Kuet steel complex. According to the company, the product meets international technical requirements and has successfully passed the quality assessment.

The company said the development demonstrates its ability to produce advanced grades of steel that were previously supplied primarily through imports.
