Capacity utilization in Turkey’s basic metal manufacturing industry reached 75.4% in October 2026, up from 74.2% in September. The rate was 74.7% a year earlier, according to provisional data from the Central Bank of Turkey.
By contrast, capacity utilization in the manufacture of metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, fell to 72.4% from 74% in September and 74.1% in October 2025.
The rate for the manufacturing industry as a whole rose to 74.5% from 74.2% a month earlier. It was also 74.2% in October last year.
