The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has announced the preliminary findings of its investigation into anti-dumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) rulings on certain flat rolled steel imports from China and South Korea. The investigation covered the period from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.
The Commission determined that South Korean steelmaker POSCO does not dump flat steel into Australia and is therefore not subject to temporary anti-dumping measures. It was also found that although Baosteel Zhanjiang and Hunan Valin received subsidies, their subsidy margin was insignificant and did not justify the temporary countervailing duties.
