According to preliminary data from the US Department of Commerce, US tin imports totaled 92,941 tons in April this year, up 126.3 percent from March and down 31.4 percent year over year. In value terms, tin imports totaled $111.43 million in April this year, up from $55.94 million in March and $197.67 million in April 2025.
The United States imported the most tin from China in April at 20,700 tons, up from 204 tons in March and 24,639 tons in April 2025. Other major sources of imported tin in April included Taiwan with 17,451 tons, Germany with 10,930 tons, the Netherlands with 9,697 tons and Canada with 9,237 tons.
