Steel prices in China edged down in the week to October 11

Average prices for finished steel products in China edged down between October 5 and 11, 2026, the Ministry of Commerce said.

Over the week, hot-rolled steel strip prices fell 1.2%, high-speed wire rod prices declined 0.5%, and rebar prices dropped 0.4%.

The average price of coking coal decreased 0.1%, while smoke-free lump coal rose 0.1%. Thermal coal prices were unchanged.
