Polish coking coal producer Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa SA (JSW) announced operating results for the second quarter of this year.
In the quarter, the company's total coal production was 3.23 million tons, down 0.3 percent from the previous quarter and down 3.3 percent from the second quarter of 2025, while total coke production was 670,000 tons. fell 10.6 percent quarter-on-quarter and 5.6 percent year-on-year. JSW's coking coal production in the second quarter was 2.76 million tons, down 0.7 percent from the previous quarter and down 2.1 percent year-on-year.
In the second quarter, the company's total coal sales were 2.97 million tons, up one percent from the first quarter and down one percent year-on-year, and total sales coke totaled 690,000 tons, down 10.4 percent from the previous quarter and down 6.7 percent from the same quarter the previous year. JSW's total coking coal sales were 2.41 million tonnes, down 3.2 percent quarter-on-quarter and eight percent year-on-year. At the same time, the company's domestic sales in this quarter amounted to 920,000 tons, which is 12.4 percent less than in the first quarter and 7.1 percent less than in the second quarter of 2025
