Indian state-owned mining company NMDC Limited lowered the prices of iron ore pieces and fines for supplies in August, as SteelOrbis learned from company sources on Monday, August 10.
Sources reported that the prices of iron ore pieces (Fe content 67 percent, 10-40 mm) were reduced by INR 200 per ton ($2 per ton) to INR 5,650 per ton ($59.35 per ton), while the price of fine iron ore fractions (iron content 64%, less than 10 mm) decreased by INR 150 per ton ($1.6 per ton) to INR 4,550 per ton ($46.22 per ton), net.
All prices are shown without taking into account mandatory taxes and fees such as the District Mineral Resources Fund (DMF), the National Mineral Exploration Trust (DMET) and the fee for a forest management permit.
