Indian Sandur Manganese &Iron Ore Limited (SMIOL) in the first quarter (April-June) of fiscal year 2026/27 generated a consolidated net profit of 2.27 billion Indian rupees ($23.85 million), which is 36.28% more than last year, according to the company's report for Monday, August 10.
The company reported total sales of INR 13.74 billion ($144.42 million) in the quarter, up 21 percent from last year.
The company announced an investment of about 2.85 billion Indian rupees ($30 million) to build an iron ore processing plant at its mines. The project is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of fiscal year 2027-28.
