According to statistics published by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the first half of this year, imports of basic steel products and ferroalloys to France amounted to 4.67 billion euros, a decrease of 0.2% year-on-year.
During the specified period, France imported steel pipes worth 702.27 million euros, which is 1.6 percent more, cold-rolled steel worth 275.73 million euros, which is 0.5 percent more, steel pipes worth 332.51 million euros. Cold-rolled steel tape fell in price by three percent, cold-drawn wire by 238.95 million euros - by 5.3 percent, and metal structures and parts by 1.20 billion euros. The euro increased by 10.5 percent, and all this compared to the same period in 2025.
