According to data released by the General Administration of Customs of Vietnam, in July of this year, steel imports to Vietnam amounted to 1.37 million tons, which is 4.8% less than in June, while scrap metal imports amounted to 612,434 tons, an increase of 1.3% compared to the same month.
In the first seven months of this year, steel imports from Vietnam increased by four percent year-on-year to 9.06 million tons, while imports of scrap from Vietnam for the specified period amounted to 3.79 million tons, which is 7.1% more than last year.
