According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, monthly steel exports in June this year increased by 6.8% compared to May and amounted to 14.9% year-on-year to 644,322 tons. Steel exports to Mexico in June increased by 8.8 percent compared to May and by 27.8 percent year-on-year to 420,456 tons, while exports to Canada increased by 6.5% month-on-month and decreased by 1.9% compared to June 2025 to 195,126 tons.
Other major steel exports from the United States in June were China (2,800 thousand tons), the Bahamas (2,042 thousand tons) and India (1,669 tons.
The main exports of steel products in June amounted to 110,462 thousand tons, hot-rolled sheet - 61,372 thousand tons, long products - 80,974 thousand tons, cold-rolled sheet - 76,098 thousand tons. tons and plates in a roll weighing 50,577 tons
