In the period from January to July of this year, the volume of industrial production with added value in the smelting and rolling of ferrous metals in China increased by 1.8% year-on-year, as reported by the National Bank of China. Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on August 17.
In the first seven months, China's total value-added industrial output increased by 5.3 percent year-on-year.
In the period from January to July, value-added industrial production in the mining and manufacturing sectors increased by 2.5 percent and 5.6 percent year-on-year, respectively.
In July alone, the volume of industrial value-added production of ferrous metals in the smelting and rolling sector in China increased by 0.3 percent year-on-year, which is 3.0 percentage points lower than in June, in while the volume of industrial value-added production in the mining and manufacturing sectors recorded a decrease of 4.2% year-on-year and an increase of 5.5% year-on-year, respectively.
In July, China's total value-added industrial output increased 4.5 percent year-on-year.
